New feature: Search Filters can now be now restricted like Searches

We are announcing a new Lead Capture feature that changes the way in which Search Filters work to include them in the count for the permitted number of searches allowed by a consumer on your website.

What this means is that if you set the number of allowed searches to 3 (for example) then any of the following scenarios will trigger a message requiring the consumer to sign up:

  • Any 3 Searches executed via any search forms (including custom searches)
  • Any 3 views of a search Results page from a link with a filter
  • Any combination of the above

Viewing a list of properties presented by a display widgets is NOT included in this count.

To Set a Limit on the Number of Searches

To set a limit to require Consumers to register after so many searches, log in to your LAC account and go to ADMIN menu and then EDIT ACCOUNT INFO. See the “Settings” tab.

What is a Search Filter?

A Search Filter is where you create a click-able link that goes to your Search Results page with a FILTER appended to it.

For example:

http://www.MyWebsite.com/SearchResults.html?filter=descriptions:hd+seller_type:BANK/GSE+property_type:res,cond+price_min:50000
